Taylor County Democrats are calling every Democrat in the county who still has a mail ballot sitting on the kitchen counter. The ballot has to be RECEIVED at the elections office by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18th. A postmark does not count. Every one of these calls is a vote that might otherwise not get counted.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Call Taylor County Democrats whose ballot hasn't come back yet. Remind them to sign the back of the envelope and get it to the elections office before the deadline. Most calls take about a minute.

WHEN: Two shifts every day, now through Election Day, Tuesday August 18th. A morning shift from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM and an afternoon shift from 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Sign up for whichever shifts work for you. You do not have to stay the whole block. Fifteen minutes is a real help.

WHERE: From your own couch, on your own phone. It is all online.

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED: You get a script with every word written out, including what to say when someone asks a question you don't know the answer to. First timers do this all the time.

WHAT YOU NEED: A phone, a laptop or tablet, and a quiet spot. Sign up below and we'll send you the calling link and a short one page briefing before your first shift.

One rule, and it matters: we never handle anyone else's ballot. No picking it up, no dropping it off, no mailing it for them. Florida law is strict about this and the script tells you exactly what to say if someone asks.
