What we'll do Put address labels on postcards to voters Stamp the postcards so they are ready for the mail Sign up to drive neighbors to vote, knock doors on Saturday mornings, or serve as a poll watcher People comfortable on the phones can make calls to Taylor County Democrats about their plan to vote. Our neighbors at the Jefferson County Democratic Executive Committee are hosting an old-fashioned political rally at the Monticello Opera House on Monday, October 12th, at 6:30 PM. It is free and open to the public, and Taylor County is invited. Monticello is about an hour up US 19 from Perry. The Florida Forest Festival is the biggest day of the year in Perry, and the Taylor County Democrats will be there. Find our table at Forest Capital Park on Saturday, October 24th, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is free. The festival is known for the King Tree Parade downtown in the morning, the World's Largest Free Fish Fry, lumberjack shows, arts and crafts, a classic car show, and live music at the park. For this year's full schedule, see floridaforestfestival.org. October 24th is also the first day of early voting. You can vote from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Supervisor of Elections office, 433 N.
